Backbone Art quality

We work with the most experienced and qualified European laboratories to print and frame your artwork. At the end of each production step, a quality test is performed. Before leaving the laboratory, the artwork is first covered in a protective wrap and then placed in art-secure packaging. This process ensures a state-of-the-art quality for your artwork, delivered to your door.

Your frame is ready to hang

Your artwork arrives to your door, ready to hang. The hanging system is integrated to the artwork and included in the price.

Backbone Art framing selection

All frames are produced using high-quality solid wood from Europe. Tropical woods are not used for any framings.
  • Acrylic glass

Photo paper between acrylic glass and aluminium Dibond.

The 3 mm aluminium Dibond backing ensures stability while maintaining a low weight. Although it weighs very little, acrylic glass is very shatterproof. All the best characteristics of the photo print are intensified when mounted under 2 mm glossy acrylic glass: the colors are more vivid and there is a sense of extra depth.

  • Gallery frame in solid wood

Photo paper between acrylic glass and aluminium Dibond framed in gallery solid wood.

Our solid wood gallery frames provide an elegant and decorative frame for the artworks. Available in oak (black and beige), maple (white) or walnut (brown), the frames offer purity, calm and warmth. The width of each frame is 20 mm.

  • Floater frame: the levitating picture

Photo paper between acrylic glass and aluminium Dibond framed in solid wood floater frame.

Thanks to the 7 mm gap between the solid wood frame and the edges of the photo, the picture appears to float inside the frame. The width of the frame is 15 mm, available in oak (black and beige), maple (white) or walnut (brown).

Gallery frame with passe-partout

Giving a sense of depth to the photo, the passe-partout option combined with the gallery frame offers a classic and elegant solution. The last layer made of glossy acrylic glass is light and shatter-proof. It protects the artwork from UV radiation and is exceptionally transmission-capable at the same time.

The width of the passe-partout is 50 mm and the width of the frame is 20 mm.

Gallery Paper

We are using the Fujicolor Crystal Archive DP II glossy paper for all photos. This is the highest quality photo paper for gallery prints. This paper has an exceptionally intense and bright colour gamut offering ultra-sharp detail. It is certified colour-fastness for 75 years.
