Ben Moreau, a young photographer from France, proposes a minimalist work, mainly architectural, bringing an unprecedented approach to cities and buildings.
His attraction for motionless subjects comes from industrial clichés made by his father 30 years earlier; found accidentally in a cardboard box.
Through structures, repeated patterns and contrasting colours, his photographs carry the spectator into an unusual type of questioning: «It happens regularly that my photos do not present a subject strictly speaking but the whole image is the subject». The observer then seeks to know what the photo is about and try to invent his own story. In his series, the well-known «Less is More» by Mies Van der Rohe echoes in a very particular way.
